Polyurethane is a very durable solvent based product. You have the option of choosing from a sinle or a two pack option. Finishes available are  High Gloss (2 -pack only) , Gloss, Satin or Matt . Toby (Dulux) 

If you are after a non-toxic option with your floors , water based is a way to go. We use either Inter-grain Enviro Pro or Bona according to your choice. Both brands provide Gloss, Satin or Matt finishes.
